"Dear Tommy,
How are you doing lately? I hope that you enjoyed your summer and your fall semester? Do you remember this letter and the purpose of it? Yeah! I'll remind you. Your experience at project had changed you into a person you are today. God truly used that moment to shape you into a person who He wants you to be. Daily, you struggle with sin. Remember the dream that you had about Romans 7? Are you still wrestling hard with your mind? Or are you still allowing sin to take your life? Don't give up! If you're faithless, then remember that God is faithful. Ask the Holy Spirit to fill you daily and allow Him to be in control of your life! This is very important to your spiritual growth. Some verses to remember: Romans 12:3; Romans 8:28-30. Put sin to death!
Are you still considering in coming back to project as an intern? I believe that God has used you mightily for His kingdom. I remember that you heart's desire was to reach Asian students. Do you still have that passion? Remember all the Asian students you've met? Maybe take some time and email them and see what God has done in their lives! Continue to pray unceasingly.
There are a lot of Asian students on SFU campus, and there is a great need of reaching them. How is God using you on campus? Are you being a faithful servant? Ask the Holy Spirit to reveal any sins that are hindering you from reaching your own campus. Don't forget God's glory. Talk to your friends in how you want SFU to be reached.
On campus, you always walk around seeing students walk pass you, and a passage that hits you the most was Matthew 9:37-39. Your heart had so much compassion for them, just as Jesus had compassion on those who were poor, harassed, and helpless. Truly, the harvest is plentiful, but laborers are few. Have you been reminded of the Great Commission daily? Encourage you to reflect on it =)
Remember the vision that you and Djastin worked on for the last Personal Discipleship? By 2020, you prayed that country will be the biggest sending ground. It can and will happen! John 14:13-14. It is possible to increase the process, by God's grace. Grab a bunch of men in P2C and share your vision, not just for SFU, but for the world. Pray that this will encourage them greatly. Start influencing others and be an example for them on campus. There's so much to do in the world. Greater things have yet to come. Greater things are still to be done in this city!
Watch out for sin, and don't deceive yourself! Fight the good fight of faith! Have self-control! I believe God is working in you! To be His instrument! Pray that you will have a heart for the world. Greet Alison and remind her all that you have her have done on project! both of you are awesome and godly couple. Pray that, if God wills, you and her will bring glory to God together =) Hope this will remind and encourage you greatly! Greet also to your family members! Remind them too! All for God's glory!
Love in Christ,
Captain Oblivious"

Journey With Me (Day 6)
May 11th, 2011
Humbling experience! My triceps are sore, and it was hard to lift up my arms and put on my backpack. It was all due to the workout in the morning, and I think I overdid it. Zach and I went and make more friends. There were few moments where I said something that I should not have. Zach corrected me with wisdom and I was very humbled by it seeing that I make mistakes in making friends. I shared with him how Alison and I got together. Speaking of Alison, I wonder how she's doing right now. I do miss her very much, and I hope she's doing well in her spiritual growth. When I think about her, it just makes my eyes tear up because she's doing something that may leave an imprint that last forever. If I was to tell you about her one year ago, she is a whole new person compared today. I would never imagine that I would be with an amazing woman who loves Jesus, and willing to commit herself in fulfilling the Great Commission. However, at least right now while I'm not with her, I trust that God is working in her heart. I hope that she is writing a daily journal for project, so that we will exchange it when we see each other in the future. I love her and I will be a man of integrity. Praying for her.
On the other note, Justin, Zach and I ate so much meat at the Brazillian restaurant for guy's night. We had awesome conversations and sharing our stories together. Anyhow, it is 9:10pm, and Justin and Zach are telling me their testimony. More to come...and sharing their relationship experience.

Journey With Me (Day 5)
May 10th, 2011
It is 8:20pm, and I am, surprisingly, not tired/sleepy. Today has been an awesome adventure in terms of doing the regular stuff. God has blessed me and Justin the time we get to spend together. We went to another campus to meet more friends. I am glad that we were able to meet those who spoke good English. Nonetheless, I was grateful to be able to make numerous amount of friends. Additionally, one of our friends invited us to his English class, so we joined in. Personally, I found that to be very interesting compared to my IAT classes. Some of the discussions that me and my groups talked about was, "What does it mean to be a successful student." It's a great seeing different students present their ideas and it furthered our understanding of the culture in the classroom setting. They were very nice people and I'm glad to meet them, and hopefully get to hangout. Furthermore, there were two students that stood out to me. He reads a lot of novels and also like to spend time alone, and he also mentioned about the Bible. Another was very philosophical in seeking the purpose of life.
On the fun note, my family was lost in finding out which bus to take. We didn't know which side was the correct direction, so we crossed the street 4 times to discover our route back to campus. Sadly, we walked back instead, but it was a fun experience with laughers and excitement. Hopefully people didn't think of us as maniacs crossing the street multiple times.
We had dinner right across the campus, and they were delicious. But people spat on the floor and smoking in the restaurant, which was gross. Overall, we had fun being funny with each other. however, it's still the beginning, and I'm looking forward to what will happen.
Justin asked me if I miss Alison. Honestly, I do miss her. Hope that she's alright and doing well with her family and her relationship with God. I guess she missed me more, but we're united in the same body of Christ. I will write a letter to her soon.

Journey With Me (Day 4)
May 9th, 2011
Not as I will, but your will. This morning, I went to exercise again with Djastin, Zach, Megan and Angel. My muscles are very sore from the exercise in Day 3, so I wasn't able to use my arms effectively. Today, it was my first class with my classmates, and I learned a little bit. I am excited to learn the language so I could speak it to people, and maybe with Alison when we get together. Afterward, I get the chance to have lunch with more people, and the foods were delicious. This place does have good food afterall!
PTL! I get the opportunity to make friends with Shay. The campus is very nice and beautiful with well-structured environment. Kind of like UBC campus. A lot of students were very friendly...well, only to Shay. Oh well, I'm very exhausted, especially my legs. During dinner time, Megan asked me how I am coping with my constipation. Oh yeah, I am experiencing that, which is not good. Hopefully I'll stay healthy.
Anyhow, it's is 8pm right now and I am feeling sleepy and exhausted. My relationship with God is very important and I desperately need to set that as my first priority. Looking forward to seeing what will be in-stored for us.

Journey With Me (Day 3)
May 8th, 2011
Very long and exhausting day. I woke up at 6:30am feeling very rest up. My started with devotion as I read the story of Saul attempting to kill David. David didn't do anything or sinned against Saul, but Saul had a grudge on him. Why? David is helping him fight the war and winning very battle...and David is at Saul's service. So, what is Saul not satisfied with? Himself. as a king, he didn't gain much reputation from the crowd while they loved David. Pride is an issue when one is disobedience to God. Lots more to share!
Afterward, me and the men went out to do some work out near our place. (there is this part in my journal where you don't need to know so SKIP). For lunch, the family went to a nearby restaurant to eat and get to know each other a little better. Unfortunately, the weather wasn't too good, so it was pouring rain. We explored the neighborhood to find the stuff we need for the trip. After that, we went back to the dorm room to play some dutch blitz for nearly *something* minutes. We went to eat dinner with Woody at a dumpling restaurant. I am still trying to adjust to the food here, but I am slowly getting to use to it.
Anyhow, I am very sleepy and class starts at 8:30 tomorrow morning. Right not it's 8:45pm, so I'm going to crash now.

Journey With Me (Day 2)
May 7th, 2011
I am settling in my new "dorm". As tired as ever, I didn't sleep much on the plan, but God still managed to allow me to sleep on the bus ride. It is almost 10pm, and my fam finished eating dinner, I will need to crash soon and get enough rest for tomorrow.
I wonder how Alison and her fam are doing. Hope that she arrived at her destination safely. I will remember her in my prayer.
Wonder how my family is doing while I'm not home. Honestly, I'm not that homesick, maybe later. Just getting use to the environment + the food. KFC didn't taste too good, but still edible.
Anyhow, hope tomorrow I will arise and shine.

Journey With Me (Day 1)
May 6th, 2011.
The Time Has Come! Sitting on the airplane for almost 6 hours is another new experience. During the past 4 days, I have been preparing for this exciting trip that God had planned for me. In the beginning, I was so pumped up and feel ready for the trip. Little did I know, there were a lot of information that I had to take in. With all the details and information I need to store while I am on the trip, I feel overwhelmed and fearful because I totally don't know what to expect. It was very humbling. Although I do hope that my heart and mind are ready, I am not 100% confident and ready. But I know that God is with me and my family while I am away. Hope that this will be an awesome step of faith that I'm taking.
Four more hours until I land. My nerves are getting nervous and I just don't know what to say or think about but TRUST! Recently, I have been reading 1 Samuel and understanding and applying how the story relates to the New covenant. It has been a long time, but I am glad that I can refresh my memory.
Hope to update this everyday during my trip.
PS: I watched three movies and I really liked them.
PPS: I am sitting near Myra, Jen, Emily, Zach, Stefan and Megan.
PPPS: I miss DearBubbleSon.
